Accessibility Statement
Werkhof Hannover aims to make our website and our services accessible to everyone – in accordance with the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) and recognized web standards (in particular WCAG 2.1, Level AA).
1. Digital Accessibility
We have already implemented many measures so that you can use our website without barriers:
- All images have descriptive alternative text.
- The website is fully operable via keyboard.
- Color contrasts are clearly readable.
- The layout is responsive and adapts to any screen or device.
- Forms are designed to be accessible.
- The external booking system is accessible. (Fidelio)
What is not yet perfect
- Our PDF documents are not yet accessible. We are working to gradually optimize them or provide accessible alternatives.
- In some areas of our website, the contrast between text and background is not yet fully optimal. We review this regularly and make improvements step by step.
2. Accessibility on Site
You can also move around Werkhof Hannover without barriers:
- All entrances are step-free or accessible via ramps.
- Elevators connect all floors and conference rooms.
- Specially equipped accessible guest rooms are available.
- Accessible restrooms are available in public areas and guest rooms.
- Designated accessible parking spaces are located directly near the entrances.
- Our team is happy to assist you – for example with luggage or orientation.
Note: Tactile signage is currently not available.
